Great to see 53 riders for a winter event and we were blessed with a perfect day. Sunshine, no wind, icy roads or muddy singletrack bridleways. As always, I enjoyed planning the course and thought 53k to clear up (on my ebike) would just about be enough to keep the fittest riders going for 2 hours. Ed Oliver-Evans did manage to clear up but needed an extra 4 minutes so I think the plan worked. It’s a great area with stunning views, quiet, picturesque villages and no long steep climbs but just enough to make you notice them.
Congratulations to the class winners, Ed (521) followed by Isaac Pressley (513) in M21, Mark Chryssanthou (M40-472), Adrian Parker (M50-481), Maurice Kelly (M60/70-410), Claire Riley (W40/50-415), Sarah Slade (W60/70-355), Conrad & Jill Ellison (X50/60-399), Fionn O’Toole & Ian Puckrin (Gen-340) on their first event.

Thanks to the staff at the Commercial Inn for providing an excellent event centre and post-event food.
Our next Winter event is at Arkendale on March 1st. Hope to see you there. PS This is Arkendale near Boroughbridge, not Arkengarthdale in Swaledale!!
Thanks to Steve for planning a great event today, perfectly timed to avoid the storm!

Great event Steve thanks for sorting the planning and the great weather.
Anyone find a Allen key set in the Market carpark or possible the pub afterwards.
Silver stainless steel housing about 8 Allen keys on it. Engraved on the housing with MHOPC so fairly easy to id.
Cheers
