Arkendale – MapRun download ready

We’ve got a really good entry list for tomorrow – please message if you are thinking of turning up for EOD – some spare maps have been printed so we should have enough but always helps if we know who to expect.

The MapRun download is available at the usual location

Lots of hedge cutting on the lanes – please take whatever puncture protection precautions you need – slime, spare tubes etc.

Martin Vesty is selling a fast and lightweight Specialized Epic Comp 29er for £650 – it’ll be there at registration if you’re interested – there are photos on Facebook too.

All the other details are in the previous posts below, please check the parking arrangements if you’ve do not already done so!

Arkendale Saturday 1st March – more details!

Still plenty of time to get your online entry in for this Saturday’s event at Arkendale. there’;s a healthy entry list already, but more welcome before the deadline on Wednesday night. There may be some EOD maps available but always best to pre-enter if you can. Course map in the previous post.

PARKING: Claire has now confirmed the followinge arrangements – please read!

Parking is at Sunnyside Farm, Arkendale. Access from West Field Lane not Reins where you will be met by a closed electric gate. Go up the side of the Blue Bell pub and after the last house on the left, about 130m, turn left down a farm track. You should probably see Simon Coiley to direct you but if not: park nose/rear in on the hard standing on the left as soon as you go through the farm gate or further down the track nose/rear in on the hard standing on the right.

Opposite the parking on the right, is a barn which we can park side on to, there is no need for the farm vehicles/hay to be taken out that are in it. Hopefully this will accommodate everyone and the road not obstructed. Should these areas be full, there is also parking in the farm yard at the end of the track but please don’t block entrances to the buildings. There may be people visiting the farm so people need to be able to get down the track to the farm house. There are no plans for large farm vehicles to be moving about.

No parking in the pub car park or Village Hall car park opposite. There is another cycling event on which has booked the Village hall and the pub car park is very small and required for staff and people staying.

Food: Pub would be grateful for pre-orders – we’ll send these across Thursday morning so please send by then, orders after that may depend on availability. Menu here (and links to childrens menu)
