Can you avoid the mud? Next event at Scorton on February 7th

As Storm Chandra makes its way across the country, Steve’s been out checking the bridleways for our next event at Scorton on Saturday 7th February.

The forecast is cold and wet leading up to the event so the soft sections on the 5 bridleways will be tough – however the junction pictured above does NOT feature on the course!!

You can start with some fine navigation on excellent tracks around the reclaimed gravel pits but please give way to the many walkers and their dogs. Then it’s a variety of quiet country lanes in fairly gentle countryside using 5 mainly dry bridleways but please take great care crossing or using the 3 busy roads on the map. The picture below shows a bridleway that IS on the course!
