Organiser’s Report
Thanks to Conrad & Jill for yet another excellent course. It was a pity that it has been so wet recently but at least it stopped raining by the time most riders had started and the sun shone for the control collectors. Congratulations to Andrew Windrum on an excellent score after a very tiring day putting out and collecting 54 controls for the York MTBO events on Saturday. Karen Clark was the leading lady and Steve & Andrea first mixed team ahead of Tony & Angela who rode together. I enjoyed my ride despite the lack of views but should have gone to Hutton Lowcross for the high scoring controls rather than Baysdale which was rather tough.
Thanks to Jens for another excellent map, Karen, Geoff, John & Joe in the hall and Carl, Tim, Ed, Dave, Adrian, Mark, Ian,& Margaret who collected the controls. PS Someone left a mudguard in the car park so please let me know if it’s yours.
Results here and splits on the NYMBO web page
Hopefully see you next month at Wykeham and/or the Moors Marathon.

Planners’ Report
After a night of rain the tracks were all very slippery and wet but the weather thankfully cleared and the rain stopped. Well done to all riders but particularly Dave Cowgill and all the other slippers and sliders who  survived their tumbles. No one cleared up but Andy Windrum gave it a good go with 475 points.  Lots of people said how much they had enjoyed it in spite of the mud and most people came back smiling. Thanks to Steve for his overall organisation, Jens for a brilliant map, Karen, Geoff. and John for manning the desk and, in particular,  the control collectors Tim, Ed, Adrian, Carl, Ian, Margaret, Dave and Mark who brought them all in with such efficiency.

Thank Conrad & Jill – an excellent course, with easy to find controls! Particularly enjoyed the ride to 57 – which was mist free – where I discovered I was first there and there was a spot prize!
I enjoyed the muddy, bumpy, logged route from 60-53-45-47 a little less though!
