Sicklinghall results & report

33 brave souls turned out in ‘heavy drizzle’ to brave the roads and tracks around the Scotts Arms at Sicklinghall. It is over 4 years since we last started at this location and now that the Bridges over the river are open I reinstated a few controls south of the river and in doing so made use of the excellent Muddy boots cafe at Harewood on one of the sighting trips.  The event 4 years ago had high scores of 450 and given the weather and the restrictions on routes around the centre I think the slightly larger area worked. Given the amount of rain we have had over the last few months I was surprised it was only one or two tracks had gone from rideable to soft and one of these was due to Christmas tree harvesting.

Click here for the results. Congratulations must go to our Category winners, Ian Furlong on Senior Men with 375, David Day Veteran Men ( over 60 ) with 330, Andrea and Steve Foster in Mixed with 270, Phil and Olivia Ingham in Generation with 265 and Jo Anderson and Jemima Parker in Ladies with 259.  Thanks to Steve for helping with Registration and the Scotts Arms for excellent hospitality and food.

Any score queries please e-mail me at dormiceuk@yahoo.co.uk with your route and score and I will update, the result sheets were a bit damp.

Our next event is on December 14th  – another 2-hour lane quest from Richmond Golf Course Oeganised by Steve Willis. We could do with some more planners for the 2020 summer series so if you fancy having a go please e-mail myself or Steve, you will be given lots of help and advice.

23rd November Sicklinghall
