Hambleton Hills maps without controls now available

Here’s the map of next weekend’s event without the controls to give you an idea of the terrain and where the start/finish is. We’d welcome any feedback on whether you like this feature, please either on this post or talk to Steve at the event.

It’s a big file so may take a little time to download when you click on the picture.

I think this is a good idea. Newbies get plenty of time to study the mapso it should be a little less stressful at the start.I use it to get an idea of the terrain too.

I agree it is good to look at the map in advance like this, even if I do think of a route choice then completley ignore it when I get the control map. Only to find like a Cropton that A Conn went the way I was originally thinking.

We have had 70 pre-entries so Jens has printed 90 maps and descriptions. Please send Steve an email if you want to reserve one of the spare 20 maps. Parking is at Thirlby Sports Field so please follow the signs through the village avoiding the ford and don’t park on the cricket pitch!! Refreshments will be on sale before and after the event and there will be a bike wash afterwards.

Yes; great to have the map to orientate to before the event, particularly for an area like this with so many places you can’t go!!!
