Swaledale weekend 7th & 8th SeptemberSaturday entry | Sunday entry| Flier here

Swaledale is open for business again and is still a great area for mountain biking. Some of the tracks have been badly eroded but many of the bridleways and (permissive) estate tracks have been repaired by the farmers, gamekeepers and National Park. All of the estates are happy for us to ride at the weekend but please make sure that you stick to the public bridleways and permissive tracks.

The Richmond to Reeth road is open again as the temporary bridge over Cogden Gill is in place. The upper bridge above the Youth Hostel is still closed to vehicles but may open before the weekend and is passable with care on bike or foot. The A course has been reduced to 6 hours (from 7 hours) on Saturday.

On Saturday, you will be north of the River Swale using a variety of bridleways, tracks and minor roads in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale as well as the surrounding moors.
A – 6 hours B – 5 hours C – 3 hours D – 2 hours (Newcomers/Non-Competitive)

On Sunday you will be south of the River Swale in Swaledale, Apedale and Wensleydale as well as on the surrounding moors.
